Yes, you must comply with the ‘Bets Friends Conditions of Use’ when using Bets Friends. You can view here. (See 'Part K – Bets Friends Conditions of Use)

Go to the Bets Friends section of the TAB app and create your profile. Once you’ve created your profile, you can create or join teams with your ‘Bets Friends’ and follow our expert tipsters.

Once you’ve created your profile, select the ‘Create Team’ option on the Bets Friends homepage. Then, share your team code with your friends and start sharing your tips.

Please note:You need to have a verified TAB account to create a Bets Friends team.

There are two simple ways you can leave a Bets Friends team:

Option 1.

Select the ‘View All’ option in the ‘Your Teams’ section on the Bets Friends homepage and tap the ‘joined’ button next to the team you want to leave.

Option 2.

Tap the ‘Team Details’ button on the team homepage and select ‘Leave Team’.

Any TAB account customer you’ve provided with your team code can join your team  

 ‘TAB verified' teams can be seen by all app users (whether they have a Bets Friends profile or not).  

Non-verified/private teams can only be seen by people who are a part of that team. If your team is non-verified/private, only your team members will be able to see it – it will not be visible to other app users. And, only your ‘Bets Friends’ will be able to see your comments and tips.

Simply add a tip to your bet slip, select the ‘Share’ option and one or more teams to share your tip with. You can also share your entire bet slip with your team(s). This means you can build out your bet slip with your best plays and share them with your team(s) all at once.

Yes, you can use the ‘Share’ option on your bet slip to share an individual selection or your entire bet slip.

No, you can only share tips/selections from your TAB bet slip. You can share tips/selections from your bet slip before or after you place a bet.

Yes, simply tap your profile image on the Bets Friends homepage and select ‘Edit Profile’. From here, you can update your profile name and/or picture.

Please note:Your profile name must be unique (i.e., not in use by someone else on Bets Friends).

Yes. You can delete a tip/comment by navigating to your team and holding your finger on the tip/comment you want to delete. After holding your finger on the tip/comment for a second, the ‘Delete’ option will appear. Once you’ve deleted a tip/comment, it will be removed from your team(s).  

Yes, simply hold your finger on the tip/comment you find offensive or that may breach the Conditions of Use until the ‘Report’ option appears. If TAB considers that the tip/comment has breached the Conditions of Use, it will be removed for ALL customers.

90 days. Tips/comments older than 90 days will not appear in your feed.

Yes. People whose behaviour goes against the guidelines outlined in the Bets Friends Conditions of Use will have their Bet Friends access restricted.  

No. Bets Friends is an information sharing service. You are not obligated to place bets on bets /tips shared with you via Bets Friends.

No. While your responsible gambling preferences (e.g., your deposit limit) will apply to your Bets Friends account/activity, your preferences are private and will not be visible to other customers. And, only your ‘Bets Friends’ will be able to see your tips/comments.

     

 

      17. How do I start receiving Bets Friends notifications?

To start receiving notifications, you need to 'opt in' via your Bets Friends Profile. To do this, select ‘Edit Profile’ and toggle on notifications.

Once you’ve opted in at a profile level, you can choose who you want to receive notifications from. To do this, navigate to your favourite teams, tap the settings option in the top-right corner of the screen, and toggle on notifications to start receiving notifications every time a tip is shared in the team.


 

18. How do I stop receiving Bets Friends notifications?

You can 'opt out' and stop receiving notifications at any time. To 'opt out' at a profile level, select ‘Edit Profile’, and toggle off notifications.

To 'opt out' at a team level, navigate to the relevant team, tap the settings option in the top-right corner of the screen, and toggle off notifications.
