Any scratched runner in either leg of a Double will be replaced with a Substitute, and all investments on the scratched runner will be invested on the Substitute.
Substitutes will be determined once investments are final and a result has been entered for the race, and will be based on the favourite in the Win pool for that race.
A Substitute will be declared for every race, even if there are no scratchings, provided that this race is a Double or a Quaddie leg.
A customer can cancel a scratching affected doubles bet up to the close of selling on the first leg.* It does matter what leg (first or second) the scratching is in. Once the first leg is closed, cancellation is inhibited and the substitute automatically replaces the scratching.
