When placing a ‘Roving Banker’ bet with a ‘First 4’ bet:
- You can make up to 3 ‘Roving Banker’ selections
- You need to make a minimum of 4 selections:
For example:
- If you make 1 ‘Roving Banker’ selection, you need to make at least 3 non-’Rover’ selections (i.e., regular ‘First 4’ selections)
- If you make 2 ‘Roving Banker’ selection, you need to make at least 2 non-’Rover’ selections (i.e., regular ‘First 4’ selections)
- If you make 3 ‘Roving Banker’ selection, you need to make at least 1 non-’Rover’ selections (i.e., regular ‘First 4’ selections)
- All of your ‘Roving Banker’ selections must finish within the ‘First 4’ finishing positions for your bet to win.

To place ‘Roving Banker’ bets with a ‘First 4’ bet on the TAB app:
- Log in to your account.
- Tap on the ‘Racing’ icon on the menu at the bottom on the screen.
3. On the ‘Racing’ page, select the day/date you want to view races for (i.e., select ‘Next to Go’, ‘Today’, ‘Tomorrow’ or a specific date) and select a race meeting.

4. On the race meeting page, select a race.
5. One the race page, select ‘First 4’ as your bet type and tap the ‘Roving Banker’ option.
6. Make your ‘Roving Banker’ selections by tapping the ‘Rover’ option next to your chosen runners. Then, make your regular ‘First 4’/’non-Rover’ selections by tapping the ‘Selection’ option next to your chosen runners. Once you’ve made your selections, tap ‘Bet Now’.
Tip!If you don’t want to bet straight away, tap ‘Add to Bet Slip’ instead of ‘Place Bet’.
7. Enter a stake/bet amount, and tap ‘Place Bet’.

8. Review the details of your bet and tap ‘Confirm Bet’.

To place ‘Roving Banker’ bets with a ‘First 4’ bet at tab.com.au:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Select ‘Today’s Racing’.
3. Select your preferred racing code (i.e., thoroughbred, greyhounds, or harness) and the race you want to bet on.
4. Select ‘First 4’ as your bet type and the ‘Roving Banker’ option. Then, make your ‘Roving Banker’ selections by ticking the ‘Rover’ option next to your chosen runners and your regular ‘First 4’/’non-Rover’ selections by ticking the ‘Selection’ option next to your chosen runners.
5. Once you’ve made your selections, enter a bet amount on your bet slip and select ‘Bet Now’.
6. Review the details and final cost of your bet and then select ‘Submit’.
Important note:Once you submit your bet, it cannot be cancelled.
