Table 1 is based on a single runner selection in each of six races or legs for $1 Win or $1 Place or two runners in a Quinella for $1. Using the table as a ready reckoner you can determine the cost of different parlay combinations.

It is possible to increase the number of selections in each race and/or mix the bet types and/or take multiple formulas but these changes could dramatically increase the number of combinations available and at the same time increase the cost of the bet.
