Market ‘movers’ are runners whose odds shorten and ‘drifters’ are runners whose odds lengthen after the market opens. The TAB app’s ‘Market Movers & Drifters’ feature makes it easy for you to spot these runners on the race card.
‘Movers’ (i.e., ‘hot’ horses) are represented by the flame icon and ‘drifters’ the snowflake icon. The more flames or snowflakes, the greater the odds fluctuation.
Market ‘movers’ and ‘drifters’ become visible 15 minutes out from a race's scheduled jump time. This is so the odds fluctuations are based on reliable data.
Market ‘movers’ and ‘drifters’ appear on the win/place race card for all Australian and New Zealand races and all racing codes (excluding international codes).
To turn the ‘Market Movers & Drifters’ feature on/off, tap ‘Show Flucs’ on the Win/Place race card. Then, toggle ‘Market Movers’ and ‘Market Drifters’ on/off and decide which odds you want to display price movements for (i.e., fixed odds and/or tote markets odds).
