A ‘First 4’ bet involves selecting the runners that will place 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in a race in the correct order.
The betting options for ‘First 4’ bets include:
- Boxed betting
- Flexi betting*
- Roving banker betting
- Standout betting.

Placing a ‘First 4’ bet on the TAB app
1. Log in to your account.
2. Tap on the ‘Racing’ icon on the menu at the bottom on the screen.

3. On the ‘Racing’ page, select the day/date you want to view races for (i.e., select ‘Next to Go’, ‘Today’, ‘Tomorrow’ or a specific date) and select a race meeting.

4. On the race meeting page, select a race.
5. On the race page, select ‘First 4’ on the bet type menu (above the list of runners)
6. Select the runners that you think will think 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Then, tap ‘Bet Now’.
Tip!If you don’t want to bet straight away, tap ‘Add to Bet Slip’ instead of ‘Bet Now’.

7. Enter a stake/bet amount and tap ‘Place Bet’.

8. Review the details of your bet and tap ‘Confirm Bet’.

To place a ‘First 4’ bet at tab.com.au:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Select ‘Today’s Racing’.
2. Select ‘Today’s Racing’.
3. Select your preferred racing code (i.e., thoroughbred, greyhounds, or harness) and the race you want to bet on.
4. On the race page, select ‘First 4’ as your bet type.
5. Select the runners that you think will finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th by ticking the relevant checkbox next to each runner.
6. Once you’ve made your selections, enter a stake amount on your bet slip and select ‘Bet Now’.
7. Review the details and final cost of your bet and select ‘Submit’.
