A ‘Duet’ bet involves selecting 2 of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placegetters in a race. For example, selecting the two runners that (in any order) will place:
- 1st & 2nd
- 1st & 3rd, or
- 2nd & 3rd
The betting options for ‘Duet’ bets include:
- Boxed betting
- Flexi betting*
- Standout betting.

Placing a ‘Duet’ bet on the TAB app
1. Log in to your account.
2. Tap on the ‘Racing’ icon on the menu at the bottom on the screen.

3. On the ‘Racing’ page, select the day/date you want to view races for (i.e., select ‘Next to Go’, ‘Today’, ‘Tomorrow’ or a specific date) and select a race meeting.

4. On the race meeting page, select a race
5. On the race page, select ‘Duet’ on the bet type menu above the list of runners.
6. Select two runners (i.e., the two runners you think will finish either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd), then tap ‘Bet Now’.
Tip!If you don’t want to bet straight away, tap ‘Add to Bet Slip’ instead of ‘Bet Now’.

7. Enter a stake/bet amount, and tap ‘Place Bet’.

8. Review the details of your bet and tap ‘Confirm Bet’.

Placing a ‘Duet’ bet at tab.com.au
1. Log in to your account.
2. Select ‘Today’s Racing’.
3. Select your preferred racing code (i.e., thoroughbred, greyhounds, or harness) and the race you want to bet on.
4. Select ‘Duet’.
5. Select two runners that you think will place either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd by ticking the relevant checkboxes.
6. Once you’ve selected the runner(s) you want to bet on, add a bet amount. Then, select ‘Bet Now’.
7. Review the details of your bet, then select ‘Submit’.
