A ‘Big 6’ bet involves selecting the 6 winners of 6 races nominated by TAB. The races may take place at the same race meeting or across multiple race meetings.
There is at least one ‘Big 6’ betting option available per week.
To win the major dividend for a ‘Big 6’ bet, all of your selections must finish first. Supplementary/minor dividends will be paid out if you select:
- The winners in the first 5 legs/races, or
- Any other started in the last scheduled leg/race.
The betting options available for ‘Big 6’ bets include:
- Flexi betting*.

Placing a ‘Big 6’ bet on the TAB app
1. Log in to your account.
2. Tap on the ‘Racing’ icon on the menu at the bottom on the screen.

3. On the ‘Racing’ page, select the day/date you want to view races for (i.e., select ‘Next to Go’, ‘Today’, ‘Tomorrow’ or a specific date) and select a race meeting.
4. On the race meeting page, tap the ‘Multi legs’ icon located above the races (or scroll down past the races) to see if there is a ‘Big 6’ option available for the race meeting.
5. If there is a ‘Big 6’ bet option available, it will be shown in the ‘Multi Legs’ section. If available, tap the ‘Big 6’ option. Tapping the ‘Big 6’ option will take you to the first leg of the ‘Big 6’ so you can start building your bet.
6. Once on the race page for the first leg of your bet, select the runner(s) that you think will finish 1st. Then, tap the next leg/race of the ‘Big 6’ (in this example, the next leg is R6).

7. Once on the race page for the second leg of your ‘Big 6’ bet, select the runner(s) that you think will finish 1st. Then, do the same for the remaining four races of the ‘Big 6’ (i.e., R7, R8, R9, and 10).
8. Once you’ve made your selections for your ‘Big 6’ bet, tap ‘Bet Now’.

9. Enter a stake/bet amount and tap ‘Place Bet’.

10. Review the details of your bet and tap ‘Confirm Bet’.

Placing a ‘Big 6’ bet at tab.com.au
To place a ‘Big 6’ bet at tab.com.au:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Select ‘Today’s Racing’.
2. Select ‘Today’s Racing’.
3. Select your preferred racing code (i.e., thoroughbred, greyhounds, or harness). Then, select ‘Big 6’. The pre-selected ‘Big 6’ races will appear highlighted in green. Select the first race highlighted in green at your chosen race meeting (in the case of this example, the first race is R3, Moonee Valley, VIC).
4. On the race page, select ‘Big 6’ as your bet type on the bet type menu.
5. For the first race of the ‘Big 6’, select the runner(s) you think will finish 1st.
Once you’ve made your selection for the first race/leg, select the second pre-selected race/leg for the ‘Big 6’ (in the case of this example, the second race/leg is R4). Select the runner(s) that you will think will finish 1st in the second race. Then, do the same for the next four races of the ‘Big 6’ (i.e., R5, R6, R7, and R8).
6. Once you’ve made all of your selections, enter a bet amount on your bet slip. Then, select ‘Bet Now’.
7. Review the details and final cost of your bet and select ‘Submit’.
